In this message from Acts 23:12–35, we look at the doctrine of Divine Providence, the truth that God is never distant but is actively sustaining, directing, and guarding the lives of His people, even when we can't see His hand at work.
Using the story of a foiled assassination plot against the Apostle Paul, we walk through four movements, Plot, Provision, Protection, and Providence, to see how God used ordinary people, mixed motives, and everyday circumstances (not miracles) to protect Paul and move His purposes forward.
We also wrestle with the harder question:
What do we do when God doesn't deliver us the way we hoped? Whether you're walking through a hard season or wondering if God even sees your situation, this sermon is a reminder that nothing can thwart God's plans, and that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
