Sacred City Church is a church plant of Walnut Creek Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Walnut Creek started in 1985 by a small group of families that moved to the city to plant the church. Walnut Creek has been blessed by God and has grown into multiple locations throughout the city of Des Moines. While prayerfully considering what the Lord had in store for Walnut Creek, the pastors believe that God put it on their hearts to plant a church in Providence, Rhode Island.
Why Providence?
Barna Group did a study on the most post Christian cities in America. 8 of the top 10 were in the North East with Providence coming in at number 3. Providence is also one of the least Biblically minded cities in the United States. Providence is a decisive point, which is a military term meaning small but important. Because of its size and regional impact, we believe that the church can have a disproportional impact on the city and the region.
Sacred City Church plans to officially launch in September of 2022. We hope you will join us as we seek to exalt all of God, with all we are, until all of creation worships Him.
